Sunset Mt. Lodge is a joyful place where families come together. The beach is very kid friendly and adult friendly too. Right on Brant Lake, Sunset Mountain Lodge is a great vacation spot.

Pros: location was good for what we needed to do that weekend.
Cons: when booking a room you will stay in the main " lodge"where walls are paper thin and you feel like you are in a murder movie. No one was around for us to check in and it was very eerie and we didn't even know if we were in the right place. Fast forward 30 mins later it's like a party in the place. Not only were we inconvenienced all night by those coming in and out as it is incredibly loud but we were subjected to a couple above us having a disturbing time during the night from 1-3am and could hear everything and creeping if floors and could not sleep (obviously). Also strange that no credit card is accepted so you are forced to pay hundreds of dollars in cash there must be some under the table no tax action going on. The man that owns the place was also very weird and made us really uncomfortable. He was waiting for us to come out of our room in the morning to pay, not sure how long he was waiting for but we felt very awkward. Room was also really old and not clean, floors were dirty and had large red stains. We felt uncomfortable the entire time and did not get any sleep. Needless to say we will not be back here or recommending this place to anyone. I'm sure the cottages are nice but it is not evident what the set up is when you book a room.
